1942 Women enroll at Clark as undergraduates. This first class of women receive their bachelor's degrees in 1946.

Paul Siple Ph.D. '39 names a mountain range in Antarctica in honor of Clark.

1947 Howard B. Jefferson is inaugurated as the third president of Clark University.

1949 Anna Freud, daughter of Sigmund Freud, is a guest lecturer at the University's 60th-anniversary celebration.
