HIST 290 - Political Dissent in Chinese History

Explores traditions of political dissent in China through the entire sweep of Chinese history from the 4th century BCE to the present. Focuses on political power holders and intellectuals who in one way or another challenged their power by issuing criticisms, by protesting their policies, criticizing their characters, or by refusing to serve under them.
