Jonas Clark Hall is the University's "flagship" building. It houses the economics, education and psychology departments as well as Clark's Computer Lab, which is equipped with PC and Macintosh computers available for general use and Internet access.
Jonas Clark Hall was built in 1887 and is named for Clark's founder. Jonas Clark was a man of modest means who later acquired wealth. His dream was to create a graduate school for the study of psychology that would accessible to students of any socioeconomic level. Basing his school on a European model that emphasized research and graduate education, Jonas Clark Hall was built to house that graduate school.
