A Message from the Chair  

As a Clark alumnus and as Chair of the Jonas Clark Fellows, it is my pleasure to thank you for your generous support of Clark University.

Every gift makes a difference in the life of the University, and no one knows this better than the people on our Honor Roll. This year, over 250 Jonas Clark Fellows contributed $1 million to the Clark Fund. Your contributions provide key scholarship support that helps attract Clark’s best and brightest students and program support that brings outstanding teacher-scholars to the faculty.

You should be proud of the impact your gifts have had at Clark and the promise that they bring to Clark’s future. Students and faculty are enjoying the Lasry Center for Bioscience and the newly renovated physics, math and computer science facilities. A renovated Higgins University Center is fast becoming a true hub for campus life. And a renewed emphasis on the three distinctive aspects of a Clark education—inquiry-based learning, making a difference and experiencing diverse cultures—is launching the University’s traditional strengths to new heights. Our reputation as a center for remarkable research opportunities for undergraduates has vaulted us into the national press, assisting with our marketing efforts.

I also thank you for the many other ways that you support Clark. You assist with Clark’s admissions efforts. You organize and participate in Regional Alumni Communities across the country and around the world and attend University events. You mentor students to help them achieve their goals. You support our welcome to incoming students at First-Year Move-In Day.

Maintaining our standards of excellence and preparing students for an ever-changing world are keys to the University’s success. With your continued support, we are confident that Clark University will exceed all of our expectations and make you even prouder to be part of the Clark Community.
