Why am I being called? |
A. Phone Room Callers serve as The Clark Fund’s connection between alumni, parents and friends. While on the phone our callers will:

- Share Clark’s latest news and answer your questions about current events here on campus.
- Ask you to support Clark University by giving a tax-deductible gift.

Why do I get so many calls from Clark? |
A.
Our automated dialing system will call you again within a few days if we did not speak to you personally. If you are married to a fellow Clarkie we try to make only one phone call to the household.

Why do you ask me to increase my gift every year? |
Gifts at all levels are important to us, but by increasing your past support you are helping us to fund more programs.
Why is participation important? |
- As previously mentioned, gifts of all sizes are important to Clark. Corporations and foundations look at the total number of alumni donors when deciding which institutions to support. If you support Clark at any level, it could also help us receive additional outside funding.
- By supporting Clark it is a sign of alumni satisfaction and can help us receive additional funding.

Why do you want to know where I work? |
A. Many companies participate in a matching gift program, which can significantly increase your level of support for Clark at no additional cost to you. In addition, your professional success aids us in communicating the value of a Clark degree to prospective students and other potential donors.

What happens after I make a pledge? |
A. We will thank you, confirm the pledged amount, and ask if you would like to fulfill your gift securely by providing us with credit card information on the phone. This method of payment allows us to put your gift to use immediately. If you choose not to fulfill your pledge during our initial phone call, we will mail you a pledge card and return envelope the following day along with an electronic reminder the same week. When we receive your check or credit card information, we will send you a gift receipt for your tax-deductible donation. If the pledge remains unfulfilled, you can expect to receive monthly reminders until the end of our fiscal year, May 31.
You can also visit our secure website at www.clarku.edu\clarkgift to make your gift at any time. It will be applied toward fulfillment of any open pledges you have made during the current fiscal year.
