A celebration for the generations

“Welcome home.” With those words, Elyse Darefsky ’79 greeted the audience in Tilton Hall who had gathered to celebrate 75 years of women undergraduates at Clark University. The day-long event featured lively speakers’ panels, opportunities to reconnect and remember, and a special guest from the class of 1947 who recalled her favorite professors, rides through the city in a rumble seat — and getting busted for chewing gum in the gym.

While a graduate student in biology, Christie Joyce ’16, M.S. ’17, met Dr. Mark A. Tepper ’79, founder, president and chief scientific officer of Corbus Pharmaceuticals at a networking event in Boston. A year later, Joyce now works as a clinical trial associate at Corbus.
