Women's Tennis Falls to Babson College in NEWMAC Opener

BABSON PARK, Mass. - The Clark University women's tennis team dropped its New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opener with a 9-0 loss to host Babson College on Saturday. With the win, the Beavers remained perfect at 3-0 overall (1-0 NEWMAC), while the Cougars dropped to 0-3 (0-1 NEWMAC).

Clark's best fight came at number three doubles, where Babson's duo of junior Liz Sheerin (Melrose, Mass.) and sophomore Caroline Hobert (Longmeadow, Mass.) narrowly defeated Cougars' junior Andrea Nathan (Saddle River, N.J.) and first-year Julia Bergeron (Lewiston, Maine), 9-7.
