Nichols Slips Past Women's Tennis, 5-4
DUDLEY, MASS. 09/13/07 -- Senior Kristen Domurad (Merrimack, N.H.) and sophomore Andrea Nathan (Saddle River, N.J.) secured points at both singles and doubles play, but it wasnt enough as the Clark University womens tennis dropped a tough 5-4 non-conference match to Nichols College on Tuesday afternoon in Dudley, Mass.
Clark falls to 0-3 on the season. Nichols remains unbeaten at 4-0.
Domurad earned her first win of the season with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at number three singles, while Nathans victory came on a three set win (3-6, 6-1, 6-2) in the fifth slot.
Domurad and Phoebe Livingston (Jamestown, R.I.) claimed an 8-3 victory at the second spot. Nathan teamed up with Willa Dunn (Croton, N.Y.) to blank their opponent (8-0) at third doubles to account for Clarks four points.
Clark will travel to Wellesley College on Saturday (1 p.m.) for a NEWMAC match.
