Women's Tennis Earns First Win of Season; Sweeps Mitchell College

NEW LONDON, CONN. 09/24/07 - The Clark University women’s tennis team earned its first victory of the season with a 9-0 sweep of Mitchell College in non-conference action on Monday night.

Clark moves to 1-5 overall.

Senior Ashley Faden (Hopkinton, Mass.), sophomore Andrea Nathan (Saddle River, N.J.) and sophomore Phoebe Livingston (Jamestown, R.I.) posted straight set victories at number four, five and six singles, respectively. Faden and Nathan also teamed up to shutout their opponents, 8-0, at third doubles.

Clark will travel to Emmanuel College on Thursday (6:30 p.m.).
