Women's Tennis Falls to Rhode Island College, 8-1

WORCESTER, MASS. 10/4/07 - First-year Emily Schweitzer notched the lone point as the Clark University women’s tennis team fell to Rhode Island College, 8-1, in non-conference women’s tennis action at Corash Tennis Courts on Thursday night.

Clark falls to 1-9, while RIC improves to 8-2.

Schweitzer defeated Jaclyn Eastman at number five singles in a super tie breaker, 7-6, 8-10, 10-8 to claim the victory.

Phoebe Livingston and Schweitzer also held Eastman and Brittany Labarre to a close match at number three doubles, but eventually fell, 9-7.

Clark will host MIT on Saturday (1 p.m.).
