Women's Tennis Sweeps Worcester State College, 9-0

WORCESTER, MASS. 10/23/07 -- Seniors Mika Sneddon (Weston, Conn.), Kristen Domurad (Merrimack, N.H.) and Ashley Faden (Hopkinton, Mass.) posted singles and doubles victories in a 9-0 sweep of Worcester State College on Senior Day at Corash Tennis Courts Tuesday afternoon.

Winners of two straight, Clark improves to 4-11 overall, while Worcester State falls to 1-9.

Playing in their final regular season home match, Sneddon, Domurad and Faded claimed wins at number one, three and four singles, respectively. Sneddon allowed just one point in a 6-1, 6-0 win over Ashley Perkins, while Domurad outlasted Albana Xhemellari in a super tie breaker set, 6-3, 7-6, 7-4. Faden completed the senior attack with a 6-2, 6-2 win against Danielle Lehman at number four.

Sophomore Phoebe Livingston (Jamestown, R.I.) blanked Worcester State’s Krystyna Kozakowski, 6-0, 6-0 in the sixth slot.

Sneddon and first-year Freddie Palmer (Newton, Mass.) surrendered just one point in a 8-1 victory over Xhemellair and Britney Cullen at top doubles.
