The Beach at John Smith's Bay, Bermuda. (Image from: http://www.bermuda.com/photoalbum/beaches/johnsmiths.jpg)

The data was collected at a coral reef community in John Smith’s Bay, Bermuda. I observed the fish for about an hour on two occasions. At 4:00 pm on October 12, 2004 and at 10:00 am on October 13, 2004. At both times Rainbow Parrotfish were actively foraging and accurate data was obtained by observing the fish for one minute intervals. Ideally, more data would have been collected to control for differing foraging periods at different times of day, but due to weather and time constraints of the class trip, this was unattainable.

This is another view at John Smith's Bay. Reefs located just off these rocks are where the study was conducted.
