Clark has two short form improv groups; the Peapod Squad, founded by professional improviser Molly Hale twenty years ago, performs bi-monthly and also competes in the annual Boston Beanpot College Bowl at Improv Boston. The Pea Pod Squad has won the Beanpot three times and is a two-time winner of the coveted MVP award. The squad accepts new members every fall.
Shenanigans! is an award-winning improv and sketch comedy group. Started by Precious Ra'akbar in 2008, it has quickly gained popularity and become an inseparable part of the artistic atmosphere and community at Clark. Shenanigans! performs on campus once a month and participates in improv competitions like Boston's College Comedy Fest (formerly known as Beanpot) as well as national sketch competitions. In addition to their monthly shows, Shenanigans! performs at different on-campus events in collaboration with other groups. For example, Shenanigans! has performed at Clark's International Gala, benefit shows such as AIDS Awareness Day and Clark's Race for the Cure, and has participated in educational events such as Splash. They hold auditions every fall.
