(b) Using FORTRAN or PASCAL depending on intended engineering area.
(c) The 9 units indicated for the third year include one unit taken in summer
school or one unit of transfer or advanced placement credit. It is not
expected that 9 units be taken during the academic year. Alter natively,
students may complete the Chem 260 requirement by registering for an
appropriate chemical engineering course during their fourth year. Two
of the elective units required for the chemistry major are fulfilled by
advanced mathematics and physics courses in the above program.
