HERO Fellowship

The Human-Environment Regional Observatory (HERO) is a unique undergraduate-graduate-faculty experience that engages in research on human-environment relationships in Massachusetts. Research topics include land change prediction, vulnerability analysis, and forest change monitoring. HERO Fellows conduct hands-on research under the mentorship of Clark University faculty. The research conducted by HERO Fellows often leads to scholarly publications, presentations at academic conferences across the USA, and awards and honors.

HERO Fellowships are awarded to undergraduate students at Clark University. Undergraduate students who are selected as HERO Fellows conduct research with Clark University professors during a paid 8-week summer period, followed by a year-long research program. Students from any department may apply for the fellowship.
