Greta received a BA from Clark University in 2002 and stayed on for a Masters degree, which she received in 2003. Her thesis concerned phylogenetic relationships of the polyphyletic corticioid genus Dendrothele. This work was presented as a poster at the 2003 Mycological Society of America meeting in Asilomar, California. A manuscript describing this work is in preparation. The photo was taken on a field trip in 2002 to the Bailong River region of China (Gansu Province).
