Research Interests

Arts-based learning as applied to business, management education, medical training, and science. Advisory Board and writer for The Art of Science Learning, an NSF-funded project that explores ways the arts can help improve how people of all ages learn the sciences.

Professional & Academic Experience

Executive-in-residence for Leadership and the Arts in the GSOM since 2008. With The Boston Consulting Group since 1992, currently heading the oral history and archiving programs. Initiated and was co-guest editor and contributor for two special issues of the Journal of Business Strategy on arts-based learning (2005, 2010). Co-author of the books What Poetry Brings to Business (2010) and Slate of Hand: Stone for Fine Art & Folk Art (2007). National advisory board for the Arts & Humanities in Health Care Program in the Center for Bioethics & Humanities at the University of Colorado Denver. Presenter on how arts-based learning is being used in Clark's MBA program at the GMAC/MBA Roundtable-sponsored MBA Leadership conference in January, 2011.
