I'm a professor of economics and have been at Clark "forever" (or since finishing grad school at Harvard in 1984). I teach courses in labor economics, introductory economics, environmental economics, applied econometrics, and run the honors program in economics. My research focuses on the effectiveness and economic impact of government regulation, specifically U.S. environmental and worker health and safety regulation (as done by EPA and OSHA).

On a personal note, I'm married and have two children (as of September 2004, my daughter is starting college and my son is starting high school). I enjoy playing squash, cross-country skiing, traveling (Disney World and cruises, among others), and singing in the church choir.
