About Us

Through comprehensive resources, programs and services the GSOM Stevenish Career Management Center provides professional development education that prepares graduate students to manage their careers over the course of their lifetime. We fulfil this work through engaged internal and external partnerships, career technology, high-touch customer service and a dedication to helping our students succeed.

Location: Carlson Hall, second floor

Hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Additional hours may be available based on special workshops, trainings, or presentations.

Meet the staff

Maria Barluenga , MS, MBA, BA

Maria BarluengaMaria Barluenga, Professional & Experiential Learning Program Manager, designs and delivers career programing with an emphasis on communication skills, cultural awareness and professional business values for graduate international students. She has wide experience in higher education in the European Union, Latin America, eastern Europe, central Asia and northern Africa. Maria has a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, a Master of Science in Financial Analysis from Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, and Bachelor in Business Administration and Management from Universidad de Oviedo in Spain and she comes to the GSOM with corporate, non-profit and public administration experience.


Kelly Kochis, MS, BA

Kelly KochisKelly Kochis, Associate Director, Programming and Advising has had an extensive career in higher education, as well as corporate and non-profit organizations. She brings skills in program development, advising and coaching, grant writing, and community outreach to the Graduate School of Management and manages the employer engagement process. Kelly has a Master of Science in Human Development from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth.




Ainsley Watt, MBA '09, BS

Ainsley WattAinsley Watt, Associate Director, Systems and Processes, manages data collection and reporting, streamlines SCMS operations, and executes the hiring process for graduate assistants working with GSOM. She brings a deep understanding of the Graduate School of Management, having been a GSOM student, a graduate assistant and intern in GSOM Admissions, as well as an academic advisor in Academic Affairs and Student Services, before joining the SCMC team. Ainsley has an MBA from Clark University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of New England.
