Eligibility
Uniquely qualified graduating seniors and individuals who have graduated during the past academic year. They are selected from a pool of nominees from close to 200 colleges. Need not be a US citizen; however, must be eligible for employment.

Description
Junior Fellows provide research assistance to Associates working on the Carnegie Endowment’s projects such as non-proliferation, democracy building, international economics, China-related issues and Russian/Eurasian studies. Junior Fellows have the opportunity to conduct research for books, co-author journal articles and policy papers, participate in meetings with high-level officials, contribute to congressional testimony and organize briefings attended by scholars, activists, journalists and government officials. The program is designed to provide a substantive work experience for students who have a serious career interest in the area of international affairs.

Award
All fellowships begin on August 1. Junior fellows are hired for approximately 1 year.Monthly salary of approximately $1,800, medical and life insurance, travel reimbursement. Up to 10 awards per year.
