Housing Lottery Selection

For 2012-2013, Housing Lottery has been modified to combine what was previously two seperate processes; Group Night and Single Double Triple Night. Under the old system, students with aspirations of living in a suite or apartment came to Lottery on Monday night, and waited until their lottery number was called, or all the suites were gone. If they did not get a suite, they then had to come back Tuesday Night, and repeat the process again.

At the suggestion of students, we have combined these nights so that when your lottery number is called, you can pick from any available housing... suites, apartments, doubles, triples, singles, etc. This also means that Lottery buy-outs, which are limited, are available to students regardless of whether they are looking at group housing or single/double/triple housing.

In order to accomodate the number of students who participate in Lottery, we will still divide Lottery over two nights. On Monday night (March 26th) all Senior and Junior lottery numbers will be called. Then on Tuesday night (March 27th) we will call all sophomore Lottery numbers. Both processes start at 8:00PM in the Dining Hall. Junior numbers will not be called before 9:30PM on Monday. Remember you can monitor the Lottery numbers that have been called online.

More information about how Lottery works can be found here: Lottery Night Information
