Supported Operating Systems

ITS currently supports Apple OS X 10.8, 10.9, 10.10, & 10.11 in addition to Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1, and 10. Clark’s network registration system will no longer allow computers running OS X 10.7 (or earlier) or Windows XP (or earlier) to pass the registration process as they are no longer supported by their manufacturers.

Hardware Recommendations

We update our minimum and recommended specifications page regularly for incoming students as well as for faculty and staff looking to buy a new computer for personal use. ITS has expanded hardware vendor partnerships to include Hewlett-Packard (HP) in addition to Apple and Lenovo. These partnerships help us to leverage discounted prices on systems that match our hardware configuration recommendations and standards for personal purchases. If you are shopping for a new computer, we urge you to check these configurations and pricing before you make your purchase.
