May Term General Information
General Information for The May Term Program
Admission and Course Credit
The May Term in Luxembourg is open to all college students in the US whose studies have not been completed prior to the beginning of the May Term. The admission criteria include: academic performance (a transcript is required with the application form), reasons for participation, and relevance of the course to the student’s academic career.
Students may not participate if they have received any sanctions, resident life or otherwise, or if they have a probation or sanction history. Students from colleges other than Clark and Holy Cross have to provide a statement from their Dean of Student’s Office that they are not on, or have a history of, any kind of social sanction. Enrolled Clark students will receive normal day-college credit (1 full unit). Students from other schools must make arrangements to have credits transferred to their home institution (1 Clark unit is equivalent to 4 credits).
Tuition Costs and Financial Aid
The program fee for students from Clark University and The College of The Holy Cross is $4,600. Since we can subsidize only students from Clark and Holy Cross, the program fee for students from other universities is $5,900. The fee includes tuition for one course, round-trip transportation between Boston and Luxembourg, accommodations, 14 meals per week, and field trips associated with the courses. Students may undertake optional travel and cultural events during their own personal time and at their own risk and expense. Very modest financial aid is available to academically qualified students from Clark and Holy Cross on the basis of need.
Medical Insurance
All students participating in the program are required to have medical insurance!
