On-Campus Employment
F-1 Students
All F-1 students who are maintaining status are eligible to work on campus up
to 20 hours on campus during term time and full-time during official university
breaks. If you work several different jobs on campus the total number of hours
worked must not exceed 20. It is critically important to not exceed 20 hours as
this would be a violation of immigration status, which has serious consequences.
J-1 StudentsStudents in J-1 status are not automatically allowed to work
on campus. They must obtain permission from their J-1 Exchange Visitor Program
sponsor. Please contact the Office of Intercultural Affairs for more
information.
