What we do

The International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) staff advises more than 1000 international students, faculty members, scholars, and their dependents from over 60 countries on matters relating to immigration as well as academic, social, financial, and personal concerns related to daily life in the United States. The ISSO also provides programs specifically to serve the needs of international students, researchers, and faculty through immigration advising and cultural adjustment programs.

Resources are available for the Clark community on the January 27 Executive Order "Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States".

Resources are also available for Undocumented Students and those with DACA permission.

The ISSO collaborates with other campus offfices and student organizations to develop and implement educational and co-curricular programs designed to heighten cultural awareness, appreciation of cultural diversity, and intercultural understanding for all students.

Attention Clark Students:
Your Clark e-mail comes with a folder called "Clutter." Outlook may move important messages into your Clutter folder without your knowledge! ISSO sends important communication through e-mail regularly, and it is essential that you read what we send so that you are aware of your responsibilities as an international student. Please take steps to ensure that e-mail you receive from ISSO staff (Patricia Doherty, Amanda Connolly, Veda Genkos, Jessica Pelland and the general ISSO e-mail) is read! ISSO e-mails going to your Clutter folder is NOT an excuse for you to not know the information in those e-mails.
You can also disable your Clutter folder to ensure that you are not missing e-mails. You can find those instructions here.
