The London Internship Program

The London Internship Program consists of a one semester Internship, which may be selected from a broad range of fields. Examples of previous fields are:

  • Art
  • Design
  • Education
  • Pressure Groups (e.g. Environmental Pressure Group, Amnesty International)
  • Hospitals/Health Organizations
  • Insurance
  • Journalism
  • Government
  • Marketing
  • Public Relations
  • Social Services
  • Museums
  • Biology
  • Music
  • Holocaust Studies

Students work in their Internship placements four days per week. In addition, one day per week during the semester is reserved for taking a course at London University (Birkbeck College).

Students are required, among other things, to complete a midterm essay and write a research paper related to the internship placement, for which they have to make arrangements with a Clark professor well before leaving for the internship. If requested by the London Internship Director students have to complete a student learning contract. Students live independently in fully furnished flats arranged by the program located in north or central London.
