School of Professional Studies
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn."
Get Involved to Get Ahead
In today's knowledge-based society, technological development is replacing low-skill jobs with new, more rewarding positions, but those new positions require more education.
Programs in the School of Professional Studies are designed to help students prepare for and take advantage of the changing workplace. We offer innovative graduate courses in topics such as cyber security, social media, leadership and interpersonal neurobiology.
Building on the practical, effective continuing education that Clark has offered for 75 years, the School of Professional Studies offers graduate programs that prepare mid-career professionals, international students and others for jobs where employees are in-demand, including:
- Master of Public Administration
- Master of Science in Professional Communication
- Master of Science in Information Technology
- Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study
Whichever program you choose, expect to be challenged and involved. As a capstone requirement, students must identify a real-world problem or issue faced by a business or non-profit organization, research the issue and develop an in-depth proposal for addressing it.
This real-world approach is also reflected in the faculty, who are professors of practice. They work in their profession and teach because they want to share their knowledge and experience.
In the classroom, too, mid-career professionals and international students work together and learn from each other, so they can be best prepared for today's diverse, global workplace.
