Clark University's School of Professional Studies is committed to educating students at the graduate level from around the world. We have been serving the adult learner for over 75 years.

Clark is well known for its internationalism and academic interest in international affairs. Students from more than 90 different nations are studying at Clark University; several hundred Clark students are studying outside of the United States in University-sponsored programs. Clark's International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) serves more than 600 international graduate, undergraduate and intensive-English students, as well as assisting students in matters revolving around Immigration and Naturalization Service regulations, including pre-arrival material, orientation sessions, immigration documents and employment authorization materials.

School of Professional Studies shares the University's strengths in liberal arts, psychology, geography, environmental studies, and international and interdisciplinary programs. Our programs and courses in language, culture, English as a Second Language, communications and computing all focus our strengths on the immediate needs of our very diverse community of students.

      The admission requirements for the programs in Russia are the same as for all degree applicants at Clark. For more information, see the School of Professional Studies Graduate Admissions page.

      Program Time Lines

      The degrees, taught by Clark University faculty, can be completed as a full-time program or as a part-time program. Twenty five percent of the courses are offered as a concentrated summer session taught in English by Clark faculty. The rest of the program is taught by Russian faculty using Clark University syllabi.

      Master of Science in Professional Communication

      One-third of all the students studying at the Russia campus are enrolled in the Master of Science in Professional Communication (M.S.P.C.) program. Designed for mid-level professionals, this degree program provides the students with skills for effective human resource development, marketing theories, organizational communications as well as conflict management and exposure to state-of-the-art communications technologies.

      Master of Public Administration

      The Clark University branch campus in Russia offers the Master of Public Administration. The degree provides students with the opportunity to understand and analyze the current health care system, placing emphasis on a thoughtful critique of the system's current methods of management. Special emphasis will focus on effective fiscal administrators, effective human resource development, policy advocacy and new ways of thinking about public sector organizations.

      Master of Science in Information Technology (M.S.I.T.)

      "Companies now want technical people who interact well with the rest of the organization - talking to customers, understanding where technical projects fit into the overall strategy…. The days when IT staffs and managers could just be technical wizards with bad people skill are over." Forbes Magazine

      The Internet experience has created a new framework for business intelligence, but technology manages need to adapt to and accommodate these changes with the flow of real-time business data. In the near future a far greater number of end users across the enterprise will rely on business intelligence capabilities to provide better visibility into the performance of their segment of the organization. New leadership skills that couple technology with strategic global business initiatives will determine who the winners and losers will be.

      Program Time Lines

      The degrees, taught by Clark University faculty, can be completed as a full-time program or as a part-time program. Thirty percent of the courses are offered as a concentrated summer session taught in English by Clark faculty. The rest of the program is taught by Polish faculty. The Capstone presentation for the M.P.A. degree is also completed during the summer in both the U.S. and Poland.
