History of Clark Trek

Since 2003 some new students to Clark have started their college careers not in the classroom, but in the trees at Clark Trek. The program takes place one week prior to Clark's on-campus orientation for all new students and is held this year in two locations; Bement Camp in Charlton, Mass., home of one of the largest high- and low-ropes courses in New England AND Newry, Maine, an Outward Bound base camp.  Clark students learn about problem solving, taking intellectual risks, communication and team building while on TREK.  In addition, they will make friends that will last a lifetime!

What REAL Clark students say about TREK!

I met so many people and had a blast. Definitely something I would recommend for others who come to Clark in the future.

Everyone was so cool and open!

It was an absolutely wonderful experience and a fantastic way to start the next four years of my life.

AWESOME

So Glad I Came!

Wonderful experience!

The people were awesome, the course and activities rocked and I feel so much more confident starting college.

I would do it all over again. It was a great way to meet people and helped me a lot.

I had an incredible time and am SO glad I chose to come. I met so many great people and feel much more comfortable about starting school with everyone else.

I'm really glad I came, I had a lot of fun and made a ton of new friends

I loved it!

This was an amazing experience!! It truly helped me to get to know so many people.

I feel so much more confident and comfortable with new people. The program was so much fun.

An all around amazing time; life changing.

It was great! Everyone should do it. It was a wonderful experience, and I met some awesome new people! It's a great way to start college life.

AWESOME!!!!

All the activities presented a challenge to ourselves and our team, forcing us to work together and push ourselves.

The zip line video doesn't lie!

Super!!

The zip line and high ropes course were something I had never done before.

I loved the ropes courses-they were great & helped pull our group together.

I liked how all of the days were action-packed.

I felt that I really had to challenge myself.

Just all around excellent.

Always felt accomplished & exhausted (in a good way)

The elements were fun and challenging. It was great to be with my group.

I had the most fun I've had in a while every activity allowed me to become closer to 10 wonderful people.

Awesome-enough said!
