Hyperbolic Tessellations

Create your own black & white tilings

These tessellations are in black and white. The polygonal tiles aren't filled in, but their boundaries are drawn in black.

Since most web browsers cannot print images created by Java applets, you probably can't print the tilings you create. There are, however, many available for printing; see some printable tilings.

One way to save the tilings you create is to take a "screen shot." Some operating systems, like the Macintosh, allow you to save the image on the computer screen. You can then edit that image with a program like GraphicConverter or Adobe Photoshop and print the result or save it in a file.
