Measuring China’s Circular Economy

With China's rapid development has come rapid environmental degradation. To help decouple environmental burden from economic development, the Chinese government has introduced a Circular Economy Policy. Having the correct methods to help evaluate the circular economy is critical to its long term acceptance and success. In this paper Emergy Analysis is proposed as a supplement to current evaluation approaches such as materal flow analysis, life cycle analysis and other approaches. The advantages and limitations of this approach are discussed in this paper.
