Research Interests

Research is focused on how entrepreneurs within small/home-based enterprises utilize information systems to improve livelihoods and incomes. Current research focuses on the effectiveness of entrepreneurial education and the impact that social networks have on organizational performance of micro and small enterprises.

Teaching Role

Currently teaching the capstone course at both the undergraduate and MBA level.  The course is designed as the real life application of theory, and helping students start a business. His role is to facilitate entrepreneurial opportunities for students, faculty and staff, essentially serving as a bridge between entrepreneurial theory and practice.  He has taken students to Mexico and the Dominican Republic on social entrepreneurship experiences.  His current project is Tradewinds, which aims to connect producers to global markets.
