About Career Development

What We Do

Career Development assists students in planning and implementing career and educational goals. Students can take advantage of career and graduate school advising and internship participation. Workshops and events are held throughout the academic year and focus on a variety of career issues. In addition, the office maintains a career library with information on career planning, graduate and professional schools, internships, job listings and useful professional contacts willing to talk about their careers with students. Career development is a process and we advise students to begin early!

What Career Development Does Not Do

The role of Career Development is not to act as an employment agency. We provide students with the tools, resources and opportunities to find internships, jobs and appropriate graduate schools, but ultimately they are the ones responsible for their "placement" or outcome.
