Dr. Laird received a B.A. from Middlebury College in 1962, and a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in 1966. He has been at Clark since that time.
Current Research and TeachingDr. Laird's research explores feelings: how they arise, affect behavior and may be controlled and organized. He uses a self-perception approach to emotional problems, including PMS, panic disorder and PTSD.
